Coffee has been grown in Mexico since the 1700’s predominantly in the southern regions. Chiapas is one of Mexico’s most well know growing regions due to the volcanic soil which provides plenty of nutrients, helping deliver a full-flavoured coffee. Tasting notes for Mexican can generally include hazelnut, citrus with light body and acidity.
